New Findings Suggest Caution With Pain Meds
Some drugs affect older patients differently
The American Geriatric Society’s new report on pain medications, specifically looking at people age 75 and older, advises doctors and patients to be very cautious about the use of NSAIDs, the anti-inflammatory non–steroids you can buy over the counter or take in prescription form.
