Volunteers Needed for AARP’s Life@50+ in LA

Want to have fun, serve, and learn all at one time? If so, you can volunteer to make AARP's Annual 50+ Extravaganza the best experience of the year. You're invited to join AARP and our energetic band of volunteers to be "goodwill ambassadors" to more than 25,000 guests at Life@50+ in Los Angeles, AARP's National Event & Expo, Sept. 22-24.

Volunteers receive free event registration, a free T-shirt, free parking and a meal voucher for each scheduled shift.

The program for this increasingly popular event includes:

  • engaging educational forums
  • hundreds of interactive exhibitors
  • celebrity speakers and much, much more

Volunteers at last year's event in Orlando loved the experience and can't wait to do it again. This year, the event is right in our backyard, so don't pass up this exciting opportunity to meet new friends, save a little cash, and make this fun-filled celebration of life of 50 event memorable.
We’re looking for outgoing, energetic local volunteers. If you are selected as a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to work at least one shift (typically 4 hours) during the 3-day event. Volunteer responsibilities may include helping guests navigate the event; walking the floor for long periods of time; answering general information questions; taking tickets and ushering guests to seats; and ensuring that things run smoothly in various Feature, Lifestyle, and AARP University sessions.

To keep volunteers up-to-date, we will assemble a team by mid-June. In August, you will be notified of your shift assignment and in September, we will hold an orientation session for volunteers close to Los Angeles.

Sign up to volunteer, or for questions call toll-free 1-866-448-3615.

September 22 - September 24

Note: This volunteer experience can be physically demanding. Volunteer positions require that you walk or stand for most, if not all of your 4-hour shift.
