45 talentosos actores mayores de 50 años nominados para los premios Golden Globe

La presentadora Susan Kelechi Watson habla en el anuncio de las nominaciones para la 77.ª entrega de los premios Golden Globe en The Beverly Hilton Hotel que se realizó el 9 de diciembre del 2019 en Beverly Hills, California.
In English | Tim Allen, de 66 años, trajo buenas noticias para sus compañeros mayores cuando, conjuntamente con Dakota Fanning y Susan Kelechi Watson, anunció las nominaciones para los premios Golden Globe el 9 de diciembre: 45 actores mayores de 50 años están entre los candidatos al premio, que ayuda a predecir quiénes serán nominados para los aún más cotizados premios Óscar (las nominaciones para los Golden Globe no son tan buenas indicadoras de las nominaciones para los premios Emmy). Dos de los nominados obtuvieron honor triple: Quentin Tarantino, de 56 años, cuya película Once Upon a Time in Hollywood obtuvo nominaciones para mejor película, mejor director y mejor guion; y Bong Joon-ho, de 50 años, cuya obra Parasite fue nominada para mejor película extranjera, mejor director y mejor guion.
Los actores mayores recibieron 33 nominaciones —en comparación con las 37 que obtuvieron los actores menores de 50 años— y dominaron las categorías de actores de reparto. Los cinco nominados a mejor actor de reparto de película tienen más de 50 años, y el grupo abarca desde Anthony Hopkins, de 81 años, hasta Brad Pitt, de 55. Lo mismo ocurrió con cuatro de las cinco nominadas para mejor actriz de reparto, tanto en cine (entre ellas, Kathy Bates, de 71 años) como en televisión (donde se encuentra Meryl Streep, de 70 años).
Los mayores de 50 años también arrasaron con las cinco nominaciones para mejor guion y cuatro de las cinco nominaciones para director. Tres de los compositores de canciones nominados tienen más de 50 años (Elton John, 72; Bernie Taupin, 69, y Andrew Lloyd Webber, 71), y tal es el caso de tres músicos compositores, entre ellos los primos Randy Newman, de 76 años, y Thomas Newman, de 64.
Los ganadores serán homenajeados en la 77.ª entrega de los premios Golden Globe presentada por Ricky Gervais, de 58 años, en NBC el 5 de enero.
