As an affable actor, passionate producer and visionary director, Rob Reiner is a Tinsel Town triple threat. He began his career as a young writer for the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour before winning America’s hearts as Mike “Meathead” Stivic on the hit television show, All in the Family. After the curtain fell on the popular program, Reiner focused on what would become his dream job: directing and producing movies for the big screen. His career has brought movie-goers such memorable classics as When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride and Stand by Me and he’s still delighting audiences with more recent hits like The Bucket List and Flipped.
While the film industry has changed dramatically since he first stepped behind the camera, Reiner’s love for good old fashioned storytelling has remained his primary focus. “I’m passionate about movies that are about people and that touch on real human emotions and that are character driven stories,” he says.
My Generation pulls back the curtain on this American film legend to reveal the secrets behind his movie magic.
