Who’s ready for the Oscars? The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is dusting off the red carpet for the 95th annual Oscars (airing March 12, 8 p.m. ET, on ABC), and this year we can expect some high-level competition between box office smashes like Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick and James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water and serious critical sensations Everything Everywhere All at Once and All Quiet on the Western Front.

The indie darling swept up the most nominations of any contender this year, including best picture, best actress for star Michelle Yeoh and supporting actress/actor nods for Stephanie Hsu, Jamie Lee Curtis (AARP’s Movies for Grownups career achievement winner) and Ke Huy Quan.

The Fabelmans

Steven Spielberg’s fictionalized account of his own childhood as a budding filmmaker landed noms for Michelle Williams (best actress) and Judd Hirsch (best supporting actor) and a record 53rd nomination for composer John Williams.
