Where to Watch This Year’s Oscar-Nominated Movies Online

Most of this year’s top nominees are available on streaming services — or soon will be. Here’s where to find them ahead of the March 12 awards show

Who’s ready for the Oscars? The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is dusting off the red carpet for the 95th annual Oscars (airing March 12, 8 p.m. ET, on ABC), and this year we can expect some high-level competition between box office smashes like Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick and James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water and serious critical sensations Everything Everywhere All at Once and All Quiet on the Western Front.

All Quiet on the Western Front

9 nominations

Beyond its best picture nomination (the only non-English-language film to make the cut this year), Edward Berger’s German-language update of the WWI classic snagged lots of noms in technical categories.

4 nominations

James Cameron’s spectacular mega-budget sci-fi sequel landed four nominations, but none for its high-profile director.

Martin McDonagh’s Irish dramedy landed four nominations for the members of its top o’ the morning cast: Colin Farrell, Kerry Condon, Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan.

Elvis

8 nominations

Austin Butler is the front-runner for best actor playing the king of rock ’n’ roll in Baz Luhrmann’s stylized biopic.

Everything Everywhere All at Once

11 nominations

The indie darling swept up the most nominations of any contender this year, including best picture, best actress for star Michelle Yeoh and supporting actress/actor nods for Stephanie Hsu, Jamie Lee Curtis (AARP’s Movies for Grownups career achievement winner) and Ke Huy Quan.

The Fabelmans

7 nominations

Steven Spielberg’s fictionalized account of his own childhood as a budding filmmaker landed noms for Michelle Williams (best actress) and Judd Hirsch (best supporting actor) and a record 53rd nomination for composer John Williams.

Tár

6 nominations

Cate Blanchett’s performance as a prickly orchestra conductor has dominated the awards conversation for Todd Field’s film, which scored five other nominations (including best picture).

Top Gun: Maverick

6 nominations

The Tom Cruise sequel is another rare blockbuster in the best picture mix; the hit flies high with six nominations total (but snubbed its megawatt star for a best actor look).

Triangle of Sadness

3 nominations

Swedish auteur Ruben Östlund’s vicious satire of the ultra-wealthy sashays into the ceremony with a triangle of high-level nominations, including best picture and best director.

Women Talking

2 nominations

Writer-director Sarah Polley’s fact-inspired feminist drama was shut out in the acting categories but landed nominations for best picture and Polley’s adapted screenplay.

Brendan Fraser has won raves (and his first Oscar nom) playing a morbidly obese man, while Hong Chau landed a best supporting actress nomination as the nurse who cares for him.

Veteran British actor Bill Nighy snagged a nod as a repressed civil servant who receives a cancer diagnosis. Kazuo Ishiguro is also nominated for his screenplay, adapted from Akira Kurosawa’s classic 1952 film Ikiru.

Paul Mescal, the Irish actor who broke out in the Netflix limited series Normal People, plays a struggling Scottish father who takes his 11-year-old daughter on an eventful Turkish vacation.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Angela Bassett’s regal turn as Queen Ramonda is up for the best supporting actress Oscar in Ryan Coogler’s Marvel sequel, which also earned nods for best costume design, best original song and more.

Atlanta alum Brian Tyree Henry nabbed a nod as best supporting actor for playing an auto mechanic battling physical and mental trauma after a deadly car accident.
