2019 Livestream Series

Past Events

June Event Information

In 2012, the groundbreaking Home Alone: Family Caregivers Providing Complex Chronic Care report laid the foundation for legislation and initiatives that would change the landscape of family caregiving across multiple sectors.  Now a new release, Home Alone Revisited: Family Caregiver Providing Complex Caretakes an even closer look at the family caregiver experience, this time putting a lens on new facets as gender, generational and multicultural diversity. Both reports were made possible through funding from The John A. Hartford Foundation.

Participants in this livestream will:

  • learn five major findings from AARP’s Home Alone Revisited report.
  • gain an understanding of the implications associated with the experiences of family caregivers providing complex care without support and training from professionals.
  • recognize the existing challenges that family caregivers face and learn recommendations that can alter the current landscape.
