Film Covers Kobe Bryant’s Famous High-Scoring Basketball Game
‘Black Mamba’ scored 81 points in 2006 game against Toronto Raptors
Kobe Bryant is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The Legend of the 81-Point Game goes behind the scenes to Jan. 22, 2006, to show how Kobe, also called the “Black Mamba,” was a predator on the court, shredding his opponents’ defenses and scoring 81 points in a single game against the Toronto Raptors, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 122-104 win.
The documentary features former teammates, coaches, play-by-play commentators, witnesses of that particular night and those who played on court with Kobe. They tell the story of this unique basketball game, and explain why Kobe will forever be one of the best to play the game.
