Royal Stratton, a World War II rescue pilot with the 4th Emergency Rescue Squadron who died while saving the lives of nine downed airmen in the open ocean of a war-torn South Pacific. Two generations later, Stratton's great-nephew, filmmaker Christopher Johnson, embarks on an international quest to unlock history and reveal the circumstances of that fateful event with recreations of epic proportions.
Immersive cinematography and gripping action mixed with firsthand accounts and historical images showcase the valor of this squadron who faced overwhelming odds to bring their brothers home.
