AARP Foundation ElderWatch engages hundreds of volunteers each year to help older consumers recognize, refuse and report fraud and scams. This website provides additional information and tools to help protect consumers against financial exploitation.
This final step is really important in helping us fight fraud and protect others from being targeted by the same scams. Unfortunately, the reality is that if you have been a victim of a fraud or a scam, the money is more than likely gone. It is incredibly rare for any funds to be returned to the victims. But that doesn’t mean you are powerless. We still need you to report as many details as you can about these scams so that we can work to shut them down.

Our volunteers can help talk you through your issue, gather information about it, and refer you to the appropriate agency to which you should file a complaint.
