AARP Foundation Housing Solutions Center Discontinued

From 2012 to 2017, AARP Foundation’s Housing Solutions Center provided counseling sessions to approximately 10,000 at-risk homeowners.

Due to an improved housing market and the need to fund other programs that will be able to assist greater numbers of low-income older adults, we have discontinued this service as of January 2, 2018. AARP Foundation is pleased to have played a role in providing access to housing counseling for vulnerable seniors and will continue to support the work of housing counseling agencies throughout the nation.

If you are having trouble paying your mortgage and need assistance to avoid foreclosure, please visit the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a list of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies in your area.
