Spring Discounts for Veterans: Save on Health, Travel, Cell Service and More

With the arrival of spring, veterans have a variety of savings available, including on health and fitness, hotels and lodging, airfare, cruises and cellphone plans. Whether you’re interested in staying fit, planning a trip or upgrading your technology, these discounts provide an opportunity to prepare for the new season and save money.

Health and fitness

AvaCare Medical. All current and former military members and their immediate families are eligible for a 5 percent discount on all medical supplies.

Just Walkers. Free shipping is available on all mobility aids for active and retired military members and their dependents. After placing an order, fill out the form on the linked web page to redeem.

Lasik Plus. Veterans and active military members may take 20 percent off standard prices or 5 percent off promotional prices of Lasik or PRK procedures.

Military Tee Times. Veterans, active military members and their families may take 15 percent off tee time at thousands of golf courses nationwide.

Peloton. Active or retired military members may receive a discount up to $200 off accessories with the purchase of a Peloton Bike, Bike + or Tread.

Pure Formulas. Service members and veterans may take a 10 percent discount off their first online order.

Tommie Cooper. Active or retired military may take 15 percent off online orders.

Tonal. Active duty, veterans and their dependents may receive a one-time discount up to $200 with coupon at checkout.

24 Hour Fitness. Active and reserve military members may have their initiation fee waived and receive $5 off monthly dues.

Travel and lodging

Allegiant Air. Active duty, reserves and veterans may carry up to two free checked bags and are waived fees for oversized checked baggage.

American Forces Travel. Active and retired military may search for discounts on American Forces Travel, supported by Priceline.

Amtrak. Active-duty military personnel and their dependents may receive a 10 percent discount.

Best Western. Discounts are available to military personnel and veterans at or below per diem rates.

Beaches by Sandals. Service members may take an extra 10 percent off on top of all existing promotions.

Camelback Mountain Resort. Discounts are available for retired and active military members and up to three dependents.

Carnival Cruise Lines. Special military fares are available for military members. Search for availability on Carnival’s military cruise calendar.

Castle Resorts. Special discounted rates are available for active and retired military personnel.

Celebrity Cruises. Active and retired military members may receive a discount per person, for first and second guests, based on the type of stateroom selected.

CheapTickets. Travel deals are available for active military, veterans and spouses, powered by Expedia.

Choice Hotels. Active-duty military personnel and veterans can receive discounted rates at Choice Hotels.

Delta Airlines. Active-duty military members can enjoy early boarding, a free checked bag, special pet policies and vacation packages.

Disney Cruise Line. Military rates available for active and former military personnel on new bookings on select cruises with a maximum of one stateroom.

Great Wolf Lodge. Current and former military members may save up to 25 percent with the code HEROES when they book by Dec. 31, 2023.

IHG Hotels and Resorts. Active and veteran service members may search for discounted military leisure rates.

JetBlue. Receive a 5 percent discount on JetBlue travel when enrolled in Veterans Advantage. Members also can check two bags at no extra cost.

MSC Cruises. Active and retired military members can find discounts on cruises. Cancellations are allowed when they are due to redeployment for a cruise credit that lasts two years.

Princess Cruises. Active, retired and disabled service members may receive up to $250 to spend aboard all cruises.

Red Roof Inn. Active military and veterans may take 10 percent off all bookings.

Royal Caribbean. Active military, veterans, honorably discharged and active-duty spouses traveling in the same stateroom are eligible for a military rate.

Sandals Resorts. Active or retired military members and their spouses may receive a 10 percent discount on any existing promotional rate, limited to only one room.

Super 8. Active and retired military members receive a 15 percent discount on best available rate at participating locations.

Wyndham. Up to 20 percent off luxury hotel and resort stays are available for military members enrolled in Veterans Advantage.

Cellphone service

AT&T. Veterans and active-duty military members can receive a 25 percent discount on eligible unlimited wireless plans when they get four lines.

Motorola. All active, veteran, retired and reservist personnel are eligible for a 10 percent discount online.

T-Mobile. Active-duty military and veterans receive 50 percent off family lines on the Magenta unlimited plan.

US Cellular. Service members, veterans and reservists may take 15 percent off cellphone plans.

Verizon. After registering as an active-duty military member or a veteran, you may select from a variety of Verizon mobile and Fios plans at a discounted rate.
