How can I find out whether I'm eligible for any of the benefits that Social Security offers?

En español | To be eligible for Social Security you usually have to pay into the system for 40 quarters (10 years) or be the spouse/widow(er) of someone who has.  If you are unsure if you qualify, look at Social Security's online Benefit Eligibility Screening Tool (BEST) at www.benefits.gov/ssa.
