You can earn as much as you would like and not be affected by the Retirement Earnings Test once you reach full retirement age, which is age 66 if you were born between 1943 and 1954. Full retirement age will gradually increase to age 67 for people born in 1960 and later. In the year you reach full retirement age the earnings limit is increased to $41,880 and $1 is deducted from your benefits for every $3 you earn over the limit.
