A. Yes. The website now has a page called “Get Help With Your Situation,” which covers many of the topics you mentioned. They include:
- How divorce affects your future retirement benefits.
- How divorce affects survivor benefits.
- How remarriage affects survivor benefits.
- How marriage may affect disabled child benefits.
Social Security’s website is always expanding and is now offering more interactive services as well. See the page “What You Can Do Online” for a list. You can of course apply for benefits electronically. Other services include:
- Finding your full retirement age.
- Calculating your retirement, disability and survivor benefits.
- Appealing a decision.
