Is Your Retirement On Track?

En español | The AARP Retirement Calculator can provide you with a personalized snapshot of what your financial future might look like, depending on how well you are — or could be — putting money away today.

To start, answer a few questions about your household status, salary and current retirement savings accounts, which might include an IRA or 401(k). Next, provide some information about the supplemental retirement income (such as a pension and Social Security) you'll likely receive and, very importantly, think about your expected lifestyle as a retiree. For instance, do you plan to live more modestly than you do today, such as by downsizing your home, or are you hoping to travel more, dine out more, and treat yourself very well after a lifetime of hard work? Your answers and goals will help determine the amount of money you'll need in order to retire when — and how — you want.
