TriHealth Lifestyles is a wellness program that offers free biometric, cholesterol and glucose screenings, weight management programs, discounted membership at employee fitness centers, an employee assistance program (EAP) with behavioral assessment and short-term counseling, and many wellness initiatives.

Because of employee requests, TriHealth added the Navigator Plus program that provides a central resource to help employees understand and access services for older adults. Through this free service, an experienced social worker consults with the employee and his or her family member to assess needs, write a care plan, help arrange services and provide follow up. Navigator Plus also manages care for employees who are temporarily disabled.

Additional Policies and Practices:

Recruiting: TriHealth uses senior placement agencies to target mature workers and retirees. In addition, TriHealth advertises open positions in their quarterly newsletter, Seniority Insider, which is sent to retirees and mature workers within the organization.

Workplace Culture/Continued Opportunities: Employees working 16 or more hours per week benefit from the tuition reimbursement program and certification classes. In-house classroom training and online training are offered to all employees.

Long-service anniversaries are celebrated with announcements, parties, awards and gifts after five years of service.

Employees have opportunities to gain new experiences by working on temporary assignments in other departments, on team projects and by participating in a formal job rotation program.

TriHealth provides job reassignments for employees who require less demanding roles and job modifications for those with physical limitations.

Benefits/Health: Employees working 16 or more hours per week receive individual and family medical coverage, individual and family prescription drug coverage, individual and family vision and dental insurance, and long-term disability.

In addition, flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs) are available to assist in covering out-of-pocket health care costs and discounts are offered on prescriptions.
