Benefits/Financial: Employees working 16 or more hours per week are offered a 401(k) and a 403(b) plan, both of which are employer matched. All employees are automatically enrolled in the saving plans and they may invest in lifecycle funds that automatically re-allocate assets based on age or proximity to retirement.
Financial information is offered from members on staff and staff members from the financial services firm who administer the savings plans. Employees are offered retirement planning workshops by on-site financial counselors, including "Understanding Your TriHealth Retirement Plan," "Establishing Your Retirement Needs," "Investing 101" and "Woman-Centered Retirement."
Provisions for caregiving include short-term and long-term leaves of absence without pay.
Full- and part-time employees are offered flu shots, health screenings, health risk appraisals, smoking cessation programs, health club discounts, physical activity and weight loss programs, stress management training, and an employee diabetes management program.
The TriHealth Lifestyles Healthy Living Program directly links healthy lifestyle choices to savings on medical benefits premiums. The voluntary program has employees accumulate points and track progress for annual exams, health screenings, weight management and exercise.
Tri-Health offers the following dependent care benefits to its full-and part-time employees: on-site child care for children of employees and for grandchildren of employees with responsibility for grandchildren, referral services to assist with child care, grandchild care and eldercare, and back-up care for child care, grandchild care and elder care.
Benefits/Alternative Work Arrangements: Alternative work arrangements are offered to full- and part-time employees including flextime, compressed work schedules, job sharing and telecommuting. Full-time employees are eligible to move to part-time work on a permanent or temporary basis.
Opportunities for Retirees: TriHealth has 1,348 retirees and an individual directly responsible for retiree relations. The hospital stays connected with its retirees by communicating regularly, inviting retirees to organization events, providing ongoing access to retirement planning workshops and information, and by formally acknowledging retirees upon retirement.
TriHealth's Seniority Program is offered to all retirees and helps members over age 50 maintain healthier and more active lives. Members take advantage of special events, exclusive classes, valuable discounts, educational programs, lectures, social outings, entertainment events, as well as travel opportunities to local, national and international destinations.
Retirees are offered the following work opportunities: temporary work assignments, consulting and contract work, telecommuting, full- and part-time work and volunteering.
Age of Workforce: Thirty-eight percent of TriHealth employees are age 50 and over. The average tenure of those employees is 16.5 years.
