Recognizing employee's needs for flexible time off based on employee opinion survey results, S&T Bank now offers employees Floating Time Off vouchers that allow time off in one-, four-, and eight-hour increments. Employees are able to add the floating time to their pool of accrued vacation time.

The Highmark Lifestyle Returns program offers financial incentives directly tied to employees FSA and HRA accounts. These incentives are offered to employees who participate in programs and healthy lifestyle choices such as completing health questionnaires, getting flu shots and attending health fairs.

Forty-one percent of S&T Bank employees are age 50 and over.

Additional Policies and Practices:

Workplace Culture/Continued Opportunities: Full-and part-time employees are offered the following learning and development programs: tuition reimbursement, in-house classroom training, online training and certification classes. Employees must work at least 20 hours per week to be eligible for the tuition reimbursement benefit.   

Long service anniversaries are celebrated with announcements, parties and awards.

Employees gain new experiences by participating in temporary assignments in other departments, on team projects, and also through formal job rotation programs. In addition, the Ambassador Program allows any employee to spend time in other departments within the organization to learn process and workflow and an informal mentoring program allows newer employees to meet with more seasoned employees on an as needed basis.

S&T Bank accommodates employees by providing flat panel monitors, updated lighting, specially designed adjustable stools and chairs, gel filled wrist supports and mouse pads, hand driven push carts, adjustable desks and countertops, automated door panels on side walls of entrances, and preferred parking spaces for expectant mothers.

Benefits/Health: Employees working 15 or more hours per week receive individual and family medical and prescription drug coverage, as well as individual vision insurance. Employees working 30 or more hours per week receive individual and family vision and dental coverage as well as short- and long-term disability. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) are available to assist in covering out-of-pocket health care costs.
