First Horizon National Corporation's Retiree Relationship Manager provides employees with pre-retirement counseling, coordinates benefits enrollment, and assists with all inquiries regarding retirement benefits and resources. The Retire Ready Solutions Group is an additional benefit for mature workers and assists employees and retirees with making informed decisions on retirement. The company also provides retiree luncheons and annual flu shots.

Additional Policies and Practices:

Recruiting: First Horizon uses senior placement agencies to target mature workers and retirees. In addition, mature and retired employees have been hired through the company's partnership with Senior Services in Memphis.

Workplace Culture/Continued Opportunities: Full- and part-time employees are offered the following learning and development programs: tuition reimbursement, in-house classroom training, online training, and certification classes. Firstpower Leadership Conferences are held for all leaders within the company. Formal and informal mentoring programs are in effect to help employees prepare for advancement.

Long service anniversaries are celebrated with announcements, parties and awards. Milestone anniversaries are also celebrated with points that can be redeemed for gift cards, movie tickets or merchandise.

Feedback from Employee Value and Loyalty surveys prompted First Horizon to enhance their workplace flexibility program; add a new performance management system to help employees set goals, understand what outstanding performance is in their position, and receive feedback and recognition; and introduce a vacation donation program as well as an employee relief program which offers employees emergency grants in times of crisis.

Employees participate in temporary assignments in other departments and on team projects.

Accommodations made for employees include providing larger computer monitors with magnifiers to alleviate visual strain, ergonomically designed chairs, closer parking spaces, special equipment and job customization for deaf employees, and flexible work arrangements such as telecommuting, working reduced schedules, compressed work weeks, and job sharing are honored to meet the individual needs of employees.
Benefits/Health: Full- and Prime-time employees working 20 or more hours per week receive individual and family medical and prescription drug coverage, individual and family vision and dental insurance, as well as short- and long-term disability. Full- and part-time employees receive individual and family long-term care insurance.

Health benefits for retirees include individual and spouse medical and prescription drug coverage, individual and spouse long-term care insurance, the services of an employee assistance program (EAP), and individual and spouse life insurance or other death benefit coverage.
