The company moreover offers a variety of flexible work options for employees with caregiving responsibilities, including extended family caregiving leave. Further, Daikin Industries rehires all employees who wish to continue working past the statutory retirement age on a full-time, part-time or per diem basis.

Lifelong Learning and Training: In order to make the best of abilities, each worker is given opportunities, such as training programs, to reassess his or her aptitude. After careful individual interviews, Daikin can find each worker's directions. Later, education, training and coaching are provided to further develop individual worker's strengths. Flexible Work Arrangements: Daikin Industries strongly supports flexible work arrangements. Workers can enjoy flextime in which they can decide when to come and to leave the workplace. In addition, the company rehires all the workers at the retirement age of 60 who wish to continue working. Over 80 percent of the employees wish to be rehired after the retirement age.

To address mental health, the company conducts surveys among all factory employees. The responses are then analyzed and used for early detection and early intervention in work performance as well as mental health.

Furthermore, Daikin Industries Health Insurance Association provides a 24 hour hotline for its employees.

Diversity Promotion: Daikin increasingly provides opportunities for women and older persons to play major roles. In particular, workers over the retirement age of 60 can be rehired until age 65, if they wish.

Recruitment: Since 1980, Daikin has been promoting flexible employment through such measures as hiring mid-career workers. The idea behind these measures is to make the best use of various talents and expertise for the industry.
