Central Florida Health Alliance values the health of their employees and offers the following programs at either low or no cost: free full lab panel, health & biometrics screening, free educational classes, access to multiple support groups held onsite, free case management, free smoking cessation, onsite Wellness Center with subsidized low cost membership, and a 20 percent discount on health plan for participating in the wellness program.

Several flexible scheduling options are offered for those looking to phase into retirement including job sharing, the Summers Off Program, which allows team members the opportunity to work part of the year and have summer months off, and also work six months on and six months off.

Recruiting: Central Florida uses senior placement agencies to target mature workers and retirees.
Workplace Culture/Continued Opportunities: Central Florida offers its full- and part-time employees the following learning and development programs: tuition reimbursement, in-house classroom training, online training and certification classes. Additional programs include scholarship programs, loan forgiveness, home study modules and Alliance University. Employees must work at least 20 hours per week to be eligible for the tuition reimbursement benefit.

Long-service anniversaries are celebrated with gifts, announcements, parties and awards.

Employees have opportunities to gain new experiences by working on temporary assignments in other departments, on team projects and by participating in a formal job rotation program. Senior leaders often job trade with team members from different areas to increase interaction throughout the organization.

Central Florida accommodates employees with special needs by purchasing special phones and pagers for those with hearing impairments, modifying computers for the visually impaired, and modifying work areas and providing motorized wheelchairs to assist those with physical limitations. Special parking places are also provided to employees with physical limitations for easier access.
Benefits/Health: Employees working 20 or more hours per week receive individual and family medical coverage, individual and family prescription drug coverage, individual and family vision and dental insurance, individual and family long-term care insurance, and short- and long-term disability. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are available to assist in covering out-of-pocket health care costs and the Caring and Sharing Committee helps provide assistance to team members who may be in a financial setback. Health costs remain low or are offered at no cost if employees use Alliance owned facilities.
