AARP Foundation WorkSearch Helps Workers 40+ Build Skills and Job Search

The AARP Foundation, through its WorkSearch program, stands ready to support workers 40+ by offering job and career information, training and related employment services to individuals who are seeking to remain in, or re-enter the workforce.

WorkSearch provides a variety of services, including web based interest and ability inventories, skills assessments, information about the community job market, and connections to both on-line and community based training. The program also provides links to employers that have job openings.

"WorkSearch takes adult job seekers through the entire job search process: from skills assessments through training to connections to community employers with actual jobs," said David Mitchell, AARP Arizona State Director.

In Arizona, the AARP Foundation WorkSearch sites are:

AARP Foundation WorkSearch
5119 N 19th Ave, Suite A
Phoenix, Arizona 85015
(602) 841-0403

AARP Tucson Information Center
6700 N. Oracle Road, Suite 331
Tucson, Arizona 85704
(520) 571-9884

Rio Salado College
Lifelong Learning Center
Surprise, Arizona
(480) 377-4250

“People should call and schedule an appointment for a WorkSearch orientation in which they will get registered and receive information on training opportunities to help them with their job search,” Mitchell said.
