The overall unemployment rate fell from 7.9 percent in January to 7.7 percent in February. The rate also fell for the aged 55-plus workforce, from 6 percent to 5.8 percent. Older men had an unemployment rate of 6 percent in February compared to 6.2 percent in January, while older women saw their unemployment rate decline from 5.9 percent to 5.6 percent between January and February.
