MidMichigan Health

Benefits/Alternative-Work Arrangements: MidMichigan Health offers its staff many alternative-work arrangements including flextime, job-sharing, telecommuting, and a compressed-work schedule. Full-time employees are eligible to move to part-time work on a temporary or permanent basis. 

Opportunities for Retirees: MidMichigan's 532 retirees benefit from the work of an employee who is directly responsible for managing retiree relations. The health system keeps in touch with retirees through employee mailings, the weekly newsletter, invitations to events, continued access to retirement information, and by formally recognizing employees on the occasion of their retirement. Retirees are eligible for temporary assignments, part-time work, and consulting and volunteer opportunities.

Age of Workforce: Thirty percent of MidMichigan employees are age 50+, with an average tenure of 14.8 years.
