Full- and part-time employees can also use on-site and backup care for children, grandchildren, and elders and can consult the center’s referral services for care for children, grandchildren, and elders.
Benefits/Alternative-Work Arrangements: Jennings offers the following alternative-work arrangements to full- and part-time employees: flextime, job-sharing and telecommuting. Full-time employees may also choose compressed-work schedules. Full-time employees can also move to part-time work on either a permanent or a temporary basis.
Opportunities for Retirees: The Jennings Center has 52 retirees, with one full-time staff member who is responsible for retiree relations. The center maintains relationships with retirees through regular communication in the form of invitations to company events, classes, and workshops, and by recognizing them on the anniversaries of their retirements. Retirees can remain professionally active in full-and part-time jobs, contract work, temporary assignments, and by telecommuting.
Age of Workforce: Thirty-six percent of Jennings Center employees are age 50+, with an average tenure of 6.3 years.
