Opportunities for Retirees: Brevard currently has 4,384 retirees and an employee who is directly responsible for managing and maintaining retiree relations. The school system maintains contact with retirees by inviting them to events and celebrations, offering them access to retirement-planning workshops and information, and by formally acknowledging employees on the occasion of their retirement. Retirees also have the opportunity to take part in temporary-work assignments, consulting and contracting work, and other full- and part-time opportunities with Brevard Public Schools.
