Check frequently with your favorite sites, and sign up for their travel alerts and fare sales. If you’re on Facebook, consider “liking” an airline or hotel chain that you frequently use. Facebook-only promotions will give you an inside track to savings. Smartphone or iPad users should download the free mobile apps found on most travel sites. They’re great on-the-go resources — and exclusive “mobile offers” bring big savings conveniently to your fingertips.
