Our Canadian neighbors love us, it seems, despite how much we make fun of their accents. There’s much to love in return. Whether you favor quiet schussing thousands of feet down around the peaceful bowls or jumping off cliffs on skis (“hucking”), you can do so here with jaw-dropping views of Lake Louise and Banff National Park, Canada’s biggest ski area, and do it up right for a spring song. (At least, up until May, when they close.) At some inns, a night and breakfast go for less than $100 American; at others, a whole week with breakfast and lift fees comes to $600. So take off for the Great White North, where people are just darned nice.
