Highlights include visiting Cortona, the lively Etruscan town lovingly portrayed by Frances Mayes in Under the Tuscan Sun; savoring a lesson in traditional Tuscan cooking given by two longtime locals; tasting an acclaimed wine with its fourth-generation vintner; and pedaling on gentle, cypress-lined byways past rolling fields and vineyards and through scenic hill towns.
