Lifelong best friends Regina Fraser and Pat Johnson thought they had done it all — leading organizations, raising families, even conquering breast cancer.

But they wanted to do something that combined their love of travel, arts, food and culture, so in 2006 they created Grannies on Safari, a travel show now airing on PBS stations across the United States and in 117 countries. (The show is sponsored by AARP).
This week, the Grannies take Washington, D.C., by (a real) storm on Segways, checking out attractions such as the National Museum of Crime and Punishment and Ben's Chili Bowl.
