An ambassador is a community representative who assists in supporting AARP West Virginia programs and activities and acts as a goodwill ambassador for AARP in the community.

A county link is a community representative who communicates and organizes ongoing activities of AARP West Virginia and enlists the involvement of other volunteers in the community.
Divided We Fail Volunteer
Join AARP’s newest initiative to help raise the voices of millions of Americans who believe that health care and financial security are the most pressing domestic issues facing our nation. Activities may include collecting stories from individuals, delivering speeches regarding DWF, or attending candidate’s visits and debates.

“Consumer Advocate Volunteers” help consumers navigate the Attorney General’s consumer complaint process. “Fraud Fighter Volunteers” call West Virginia consumers to educate them about fraud, financial exploitation, and identity theft.
Issue Specialist
Volunteers serve as an expert resource in specific program areas such as state or federal advocacy, health and supportive services, economic security, livable communities or chapters.
Senior Medicare Patrol Volunteer
Educates peers about health care fraud, waste, and abuse in local communities.
Tax-Aide Volunteer
A Tax-Aide Volunteer provides income-tax counseling and preparation services to taxpayers with middle and low income, with special attention to age 60+.
Money Management Program Volunteer
A Money Management Program volunteer meets with a low-income senior or disabled person once or twice per month to help manage personal finances and keep track of bills.
