211 provides quick access for information and referral to a wide range of health and human services throughout the state. Call them, toll-free for information about food banks, advocacy, support groups, transportation or services for older adults.
AARP’s Driver Safety Program
The AARP Driver Safety Program’s classroom course in Utah is now just four hours in length instead of the eight hours duration it has been in the past. All of the pertinent information is still covered, and the same certificate is awarded upon completion of the course. The course is offered at sites across the state and is just $12.00 for members, $14.00 for non-members. Visit the site to find a class near you.

Brain Institute at the University of Utah
AARP Utah’s collaborator in presenting Staying Sharp forums statewide, the Brain Institute is comprised of more than 100 scientists, researchers, practitioners, and administrators dedicated “to gaining better understanding of the complex brain circuitry so that better treatments and possible cures can be developed.” Through collaboration, innovation and education they take “an interactive, high tech approach to research and development to gain better knowledge of the complex brain circuitry in order that better treatments and possible cures can be developed.”
Envision Utah
Envision Utah has worked toward the development of “a broadly and publicly supported Quality Growth Strategy to protect Utah's environment, economic strength, and quality of life for future generations.” The organization convenes workshops with key stakeholders and delivers extensive public awareness and education outreach to encourage Utah residents to articulate their desires for the future of their communities.

Huntsman World Senior Games
This international sports competition is open to people 50 years of age and older. It’s held every autumn in St. George, Utah. In 2009 the event will take place from October 5-17.
IRIS: Identity Theft reporting Information System
To help ease the burden one encounters after becoming a victim of identity theft, and to aid law enforcement in tracking identity theft crimes, the Utah Attorney General's Office established the Identity theft Reporting Information System, or "IRIS." It also offers identity theft education, prevention tips, legislative information, and reports of known identity theft scams to help more consumers from being victims.
