Bonus Session on Fraud Included

By: States: Utah | Source: AARP.org

Utah residents from Brigham City to St. George will have the opportunity to learn how to keep their brains fit in 2008, as AARP’s popular Staying Sharp and Fraud Forums return. The forums, presented in collaboration with The Brain Institute at the University of Utah, feature leading brain researchers who present the latest information on what is happening in the laboratories right now to improve people’s lives. Attendees learn how the brain changes with age, how to distinguish normal memory lapses from Alzheimer’s disease, separating fact from fiction about brain enhancement drugs and supplements; prevention and treatment of brain disorders, and what we know about proven approaches to keeping the brain healthy. After the experts’ presentations, there is ample time for a question and answer period.

Following the Staying Sharp session, is a session entitled “How to Avoid Becoming a Victim of Fraud,” presented by the Utah Attorney General’s Office, and the Utah Division of Securities.

The forums are free, but require registration. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided. All of the Staying Sharp seminars will run from 8:30 a.m.–noon.

Return to this site, www.aarp.org/states/ut/, for more information on the Salt Lake City forum planned for Saturday, November 1, and the St. George forum, which is currently scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 8.
