Register Now: 2009 Democracy Day at the Legislature!

Sponsored by AARP Utah, Utah Community Action Partnership Association, and the Utah Housing Coalition, Democracy Day at the Legislature is an annual citizen action and education event that brings Utahns together with their state legislators during the Utah State Legislative Session.
The event provides a great opportunity for constituents to hear speakers on advocacy, the state legislative process, and specific issues that will be addressed in the 2009 legislative session as well as allows them to join their legislators for lunch and conversation
The 2009 Democracy Day at the Legislature will take place on Monday, Feb. 2 and will run from approximately 8:30am to 2:00pm.
The event is Free, but registration is required for all participants. To register, go to utahcap.org and choose Register for Democracy Day.
The morning session is located in the State Office Building Auditorium in the Capitol Complex. This year's keynote speaker will be Don Mathis, President of the Community Action Partnership, the national organization representing the interests of the 1,000 Community Action Agencies working to fight poverty at the local level.
Lunch with the Legislators will begin at noon in the Capitol Rotunda.
