Additional Information: Participants will learn about the most recent, up-to-date information on research and treatment and learn techniques to work effectively with doctors and pharmacist.Humorist, columnist, and author of the book Is Your Glass Laugh Full? Some Thoughts on Seeing the Humor in Life, Ron Culberson will teach participants how to see the humor in difficult situations. Other speakers include Laura Gitlin, PhD, professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and the founding director for the Center for Applied Research on Aging and Health at the Jefferson College of Health Professions, R. Scott Turner, MD, PhD, director of the Memory Disorders Program, Department of Neurology at Georgetown University, and Patricia Slattum, Pharm.D, PhD, Associate Professor and Vice-Chair for Graduate Studies in the Department of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University.
