Feel free to ignore the health care crisis. It’s only a problem for people who eat, sleep or breathe.
On the other hand, if you believe all Ohioans deserve access to affordable, quality health care, we need to talk. And listen.
Everyone has a stake in finding solutions: individuals, businesses and government. Indeed, a recent survey conducted for AARP found that more than four in five Ohioans (86 percent) agree that contributing to a system so that everyone can have access to affordable, quality health care is a responsibility shared among all stakeholders.
AARP Ohio wants to hear what you think could be done to solve health care issues like skyrocketing costs, affordable prescription drugs and access to care, issues that affect real people every day. These are real problems that deserve real solutions, there’s something we can all do to get them and it begins with sharing ideas and information.
That is why AARP Ohio is bringing together stakeholders to discuss efforts to achieve affordable, accessible, high-quality health care and coverage. This forum on health care will feature AARP national and state leaders, volunteers, members and representatives of the Ohio Medical Society, Ohio Hospital Association and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
You are invited to take part in this luncheon conversation at noon on Monday, May 19, at the Sharonville Convention Center, 11355 Chester Road, Sharonville, Ohio. There is no admission fee to attend and lunch will be provided at no cost, but pre-registration is requested. To register, call toll-free 1-877-926-8300.
AARP believes it is our collective responsibility to learn the issues, add your voice and get involved. Your voice and your vote matter. AARP has launched Divided We Fail to amplify the voices of millions of Americans who believe that health care and long-term financial security are the most pressing domestic issues facing our nation.
