A free guide to programs and tools that aim to make prescription drugs more affordable is now available from AARP Nevada. The pamphlet, “Managing Your Medicine—Rx Drugs in Nevada,” describes a wide variety of programs and resources, including the National Association of Counties prescription drug discount card program, Nevada Senior Rx and the Nevada 2-1-1 program.
Developed as part of an ongoing effort to make prescription drugs more affordable for AARP members, the guide explains which program provides what service to whom. The pamphlet also highlights AARP Nevada’s recent successful push for a law allowing doctors to include the purpose of a medication on its label and provides tips for talking to your doctor and pharmacist.
