AARP Nevada 2009 Legislative Issues
• Proposed cuts to Medicaid will devastate our health care system as providers will close their doors. People will not be able get the basic health services they need.
• Preserving Home and Community Based Services is essential and cost-effective to keep people living independently. These services keep people out of nursing homes.
• Selling the Tobacco Settlement will destroy the home and community based services that enable people to live in their communities across the state.
