AARP's mission is to enhance the quality of life for all as we age. We lead positive social change and deliver value to our members through information, advocacy, and community service.

One way we share information is through our community Speakers Bureau. The Speakers Bureau program provides trained speakers to community organizations and AARP chapters to speak on topics important to the 50+ community.

This free community service provides speakers with expertise in many areas, including:

  • Today's AARP
  • Health Care Reform
  • AARP Driver Safety Program
  • Identity Theft
  • The Power of the Vote
  • How to Make Prescriptions More Affordable (NEW!)

Our speakers are energetic, well-informed, and are great for almost any community gathering. Many were professional speakers during their careers, as well as professors, corporate trainers, state officials, educators, and marketers.

About the new "How to Make Prescriptions More Affordable": Last year, prescription drug costs increased at almost twice the rate of inflation. Almost a quarter of people on Medicare reach the donut hole and have to pay out-of-pocket for prescriptions, while those on limited incomes have trouble finding affordable prescriptions. Our Speakers Bureau is now trained to speak about options to help make prescriptions more affordable. Find out what programs can help, how to make the most of your insurance, and what your doctor can do to assist you.

If you would like to request a speaker for your organization on one of these topics, please call the Speakers Bureau Hotline at 1-877-926-8300.
