Americans reported $9 billion in losses to fraud in 2022—from fake sweepstakes to romance scams. In the current legislative session, AARP Minnesota is pressing state lawmakers to pass a bill that would create a state-level restitution fund for fraud victims. AARP is also targeting 40-year home contracts.

AARP was proud to support Black Entrepreneurs Day at the Capitol on February 16. The event is presented by ShelettaMakesMeLaugh.com, a small business founded by podcast entrepreneur Sheletta Brundidge.
We know that it takes time to build great communities. But we also believe that tangible improvements can spark long-term change. AARP launched the Community Challenge grant program in 2017 to fund projects that build momentum to improve livability nationwide. We are excited to announce the program is back in 2024 for its eighth year and is currently accepting applications online through March 6, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. CT.
