AARP Launches “My Dream Job” Contest

Do you know someone who has an interest in aligning their passion with their work?
Do you know anyone who is interested in changing careers or working in a new way (perhaps from home or on a part-time basis)?
Do you know someone who desires to be their own boss and have their own business?
The Workforce Issues Team recently launched the AARP "My Dream Job" Contest.
Contestants are to tell AARP what they would like to do and why they deserve to be an AARP "My Dream Job" Contest winner and AARP will help them set out on their way to realizing their career ambitions.
Winners will receive:
- Job search or small business start-up assistance from RetirementJobs.com, the leading job search engine for 50+ workers.
- A laptop computer.
- A $500 American Express gift card to buy clothes and office accessories.
- Travel and lodging for two to the 2008 AARP Life @ 50+ National Event & Expo.
Winners will also have the unique opportunity to share their experiences in pursuing their dream job with other 50+ jobseekers through AARP The Magazine and the AARP Careers Web site. Visit the AARP "My Dream Job" Contest Web site and see how someone you know can become a contestant or tell a friend to log on and to submit an entry. Contest entries will be accepted through 12/01/07.
