Meet You at the State Fair!

AARP is gearing up to welcome tens of thousands of Iowa State Fair visitors to the AARP Iowa Booth in the Varied Industries Building, and to enjoy the activities, fun and freebies available when the AARP The Magazine 2009 Road Show rolls into Iowa for its first appearance at Iowa’s legendary fair, set for Aug. 13-23, 2009.
“We’re excited AARP The Magazine has added the Iowa State Fair to its 2009 Road Show schedule this year, said AARP Iowa State Director Bruce Koeppl. “With amazing interactive exhibits, programs, services and promotions, the Road Show will be a great opportunity for members to enjoy at the fair.”
Among the activities planned for the AARP The Magazine Road Show exhibit are an interactive Communications Pavilion where fairgoers can learn how to use the latest on-line tools like LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Skype; free wellness screenings and chair massages; plus free samples, coupons, sweepstakes, prizes and stage demonstrations.
Over at the AARP Iowa booth in the Varied Industries Building, fairgoers will get the latest news and information on health reform and Health Action Now! from AARP Iowa volunteers and staff.
Visit the AARP booth between 9am–9pm everyday of the fair, and visit the AARP The Magazine Road Show from 9am–9pm from Friday, Aug. 14 through Sunday, August 16. Entry to the state fair is $10, but everything at the AARP booth and the Road Show are free.
