AARP Colorado is seeking to build its volunteer base and outreach capacity and needs bright, energetic individuals to serve in two key volunteer leadership roles in each of Colorado’s seven congressional districts.  Specifically, we are looking for Volunteer Recruiter Specialists and Congressional District Liaisons. The Volunteer Recruiter Specialist will spearhead the district’s efforts in identifying, screening and recommending volunteers for various AARP volunteer programs and activities such as Divided We Fail, Driver Safety, Tax-Aide, Advocacy, Special Events, etc.  The Congressional District Liaison will focus on supporting and growing AARP’s advocacy, educational and issue presence in a congressional district. Both positions will work with the AARP state office and other volunteer leadership. Training and expense reimbursement are provided.  There will be no discrimination based on age, disabilities, gender, race, national or ethnic origin, religion, economic status or sexual orientation. Note that in Congressional District 3 we are seeking two Volunteer Recruiter Specialists, one on the western slope and one in the southern Colorado area.

For more information, please contact Laura Bauman, AARP Colorado Associate State Director for Community Outreach at (866) 554-5376 or coaarp@aarp.org.  Completed applications should be sent to the AARP Colorado State Office, 1301 Pennsylvania St, Ste 200, Denver, CO 80203, Attn: Volunteer Recruitment.

This is an immediate need so recruitment and selection will be ongoing until these positions are filled. Join our volunteer team and be part of an organization that has a proud history of service and commitment to health and financial security for all Americans.
