AARP California's primary mission is to enhance the quality of life for all Californians as they age. Through advocacy, community service and the dissemination of information, AARP California is leading a movement for positive social change while delivering value to its 3.2 million state members.

One way we share information is through our community Speakers Bureau, a network of presenters trained to discuss the topics that are most intimately important to you. If your business, community group, club, chapter, association or professional organization is seeking a speaker for an upcoming meeting or conference, our Speakers Bureau might have just the individual you're looking for.

AARP California's free community service provides speakers with expertise in many areas.

We are currently offering presentations on the following topics:

  • Proposition 11: California Redistricting Reform
  • AARP and Your Community
  • Divided We Fail

Our speakers are ready to discuss the issues of interest to your community group, conference, club or professional organization. If you would like to request a speaker for your organization on one of these topics, please call us toll free at 1-866-448-3614 or send an email to casacramento@aarp.org for more information.

In order to process a request, AARP California prefers that:

  • The request is submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance of your organization's event.
  • The size of the audience is 20 people or more.
  • The speaking engagement is between 9 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and between 30 minutes and 1 hour long—including question and answer.
