I welcome you to AARP Alaska's Web site. AARP offers this site to provide up-to-date information regarding the issues and events that affect not only our 91,000 members in Alaska, but all Alaskans.
One of this country's most pressing issues is access to health care. AARP is leading an effort called Divided We Fail that will rally our 38 million members, their families, and the American people to demand actions, answers, and accountability from our leaders. Our goal is to propel bipartisan, common sense solutions to our health and lifetime financial security challenges.
AARP believes:
Our current healthcare system in the U.S. is broken Each of us has a right to quality, affordable healthcare Business, government and individuals all have a part to play in guaranteeing healthcare Securing access to affordable, quality healthcare should not create costs that burden future generations It is time to end the gridlock by coming together and working toward solutions that provide each of us quality affordable healthcare And the time for action is now I encourage you to visit Divided We Fail and take the pledge.
