Michelle Lewis:
Pensions Officer, Trades Union Congress (TUC)

Michelle Lewis is the Pensions Officer at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) a post she has held since October 2001, prior to which she worked as Pensions Research Officer for Unifi. At the TUC she is responsible for implementing and developing TUC policy on state and occupational pensions and for providing services to affiliated unions and their members on a range of pensions issues, Michelle is also co-ordinator of the TUC Stakeholder Pension Scheme, of which she is Company Secretary. In addition Michelle represents the TUC on various pensions working groups, including the Pensions Regulator Advisory Panel.

The Trades Union Congress is Britain's national trade union centre, representing almost 7 million working people through 69 affiliated unions. The TUC's aim is to promote the rights and welfare of those in work and to campaign for policies which help the unemployed in their search for quality jobs.
