Helen McCarthy:
Head of Pensions and Savings Development, Association of British Insurers (ABI)

Helen McCarthy is Head of Pensions and Savings Development at the Association of British Insurers. Prior to joining the ABI at the beginning of last year, she was a policy adviser at HM Treasury with responsibility for annuities and more general issues affecting life insurers. Her earlier career was in the Department of Work and Pensions (then the DSS) where she worked on the Pensions Act 1995 as well as the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 and the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000.
