Clement van de Coevering: Economic Advisor, UK Department for Work and Pensions, United Kingdom Clement joined the Department for Work and Pensions as an economic adviser in September 2004. His team in the Pensions Analysis Directorate mainly focuses on long term developments in private pension provision, with an emphasis on employer-sponsored schemes. Other work areas include the annuities market and the macro-economic aspects of pensions. He was previously involved in pension policy issues as a member of a World Bank project on pension reform in Ukraine in 1997. Prior to becoming a UK civil servant, Clement worked as an economist in the monetary and economic policy department at the Dutch Central Bank (1999-2003) and for the Office of the High Representative in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (1998). He holds economics degrees from the University of Amsterdam (MA) and the London School of Economics (MSc). |
