Woonzorg Nederland

Wim Bakker is a Manager of Research and Development in the Project Development business unit at Woonzorg Nederland, the largest national organization for senior housing in the Netherlands. His responsibilities include monitoring social developments, new technical developments and technologies, and applying this knowledge to new projects. An architect by training, before joining Woonzorg Nederland, he worked for various architecture agencies in the Netherlands. At ASWA Architects in Rotterdam, his most recent architecture employer, he designed children's daycare centers, health centers, schools and senior housing. In addition to his work at Woonzorg Nederland, he is a freelance instructor at the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture.

Woonzorg Nederland manages 27,000 independent homes with varying levels of service, over 170 homes for the elderly and 16 nursing homes. For over fifty years, Woonzorg Nederland has been an innovator in the area of senior housing and housing for people with handicaps.
