Manfred Huber, PhD: Senior Economist Manfred Huber has been with the OECD in Paris since October 1995, where he currently works on care for older people and long-term care data, and on output and price measurement in health care. Prior to this, he was leading a team in charge of health indicators. Among the regular outcomes from this work were two of OECD's flagship publications: OECD Health Data, and Health at a Glance. Manfred Huber is the author of the OECD manual A System of Health Accounts and has provided advice to administrations in numerous countries on how to improve health information systems. Among his other research interests are macro-economic simulations for health care reform and international comparisons. Before joining the OECD, he worked with a private consulting firm in Germany on health and social policy issues for clients in social health insurance, and the Federal Government. Manfred Huber graduated from the University of Munich with a Master of Science in Mathematics. He was a Lecturer and Research Assistant in economic statistics at the University of Munich, were he received a PhD in Economics. Manfred is originally from southern Germany and lives with his wife in Paris. |
